Veterinary Nursing Staff
Kristal
Kristal is a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse who finished top of her class in 2009 and has been with Companion Animal Veterinary Hospital since the beginning.
Her love of nature and working with animals has always been a chief passion of Kristal’s, this prompted her decision to begin her degree in Bachelor of Science, Biology Major at UOW.
Previously employed as an Outdoor Adventure Guide, work is about the only thing that keeps her indoors. She spends her weekends exploring the depths of caves, clambering through canyons, skiing down slopes or just camping out under the stars. She currently volunteers her time as an Activity Leader for Venturer Scouts.
If you have ever paid us a visit, chances are you have met what some have called the love of her life; ‘Dingo’, a fourteen year old Kelpie cross who is employed by Companion Animal Veterinary Hospital as the door man. He tends to sleep on the job and makes everyone step over him. Only we don’t have the heart to fire him.
Danny
Danny has been nursing since 2003 and has completed a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. Over the years Danny has worked at various practices including gaining valuable experience at one of Sydney's Main Specialist/emergency Vet Hospitals. Danny’s nursing speciality lies within pre/post surgical procedure care and anaesthesia.
Danny has many Farm Animals of which he has on "Benndale Farm”. Danny is a keen poultry breeder and shows his birds in his free time. His Favourite animal though is "Sissy" his little black scruffy dog.
Many of you may recognise Danny from his other career. Danny is an accomplished vocalist and has his own vocal studio just up the road (Southern Lights Vocal Academy).
Danny Thoroughly enjoys working at the Companion Animal Veterinary Hospital and looks forward to meeting you and your pet!!

Ashleigh had been part of our voluntary vet nurse training program for about 6 months. After showing alot of promise with her dedication to the job and compassion towards her patients we have been able to offer Ashleigh a traineeship to continue studying her veterinary nursing certificate, while receiving some additional tuition from our more experienced nurses.
Ashleigh spends alot of time caring for Coco her shihtzhu and her racing greyhounds who are always in good hands and are cared for long after their racing career is over. She has also recently added a baby parrot and a pony to her family. Animals are definitely an important part of her life!
